Divine Mercy Assembly 3005, Make-a-Wish event

We are proud of our Sir Knights and their accomplishments, but we are also very proud of the efforts of our spouses, children and grandchildren.  Here is just one example of our families in action.

Barbara Lodge, spouse of Sir Knight Bill Lodge, just participated in a fundraiser for Make-a-Wish Foundation.  Here is her report:

A sincere Thank-you to everyone who contributed to Make-a-Wish through my donation page.

I was part of “Team Joyner” today as we Walked for Wishes. It is a great cause, the walk was lots of fun and I even ran into some good friends and past wedding couples!

I met some “Wish Kids” who told their stories and it was very moving. It is an honor to be a part of this caring organization and I appreciate all the donations you have sent through my donations page.
Barbara and friends

I learned today that donations will still be accepted through Oct 6, 2013, so if anyone wants to donate who did not make it before today, here is the link to my donations page. You can be sure every cent will go to the children. Make-a-Wish said today there are 195 seriously ill children still awaiting wishes here in our area.

Thank you all again. Your caring donations will make a huge difference in the lives of the “Wish Kids” and their families.
We congratulate Barbara for demonstrating and living our faith in our community.
