Serving the Community and Church through acts of Charity.  Promoting Patriotism and Civics.
 
  We are the highly visible Knights as we wear the well-known regalia with cape and sword.  Don't let our attire confuse you.  It is only worn for formal events, parades, honor guards, and at special masses in a parish or for the Bishop of the Raleigh Diocese.  Most of the time, however, you will find us hard at work in our church or community working to improve life, share our skills to help others, raising funds for the homeless, and promoting citizenship and patriotism.
  Above all, we are men of strong religious belief and support our church and parish priests.  As an Assembly, we are championing Divine Mercy, St Maria Faustina, the Divine Mercy Chaplet, and the many other programs that support Divine Mercy.
  Our Assembly is hosted by the Paul J. Trageser Council, 10910, but our membership also includes Knights from the many Durham and neighboring councils.  Membership is open to transferring-in members of the Fourth Degree and to newly exemplified members in October of each year. 
  Divine Mercy Assembly is the newest Assembly in the North Carolina District of the Desoto Province.  We were formed on September 27th, 2006, and were approved by the Supreme Master on October 28th, 2006.
 
Social Events are held regularly to build strong family bonds.  Knights are Brothers.
We typically dine with our ladies in one of the many great restaurants nearby. We are very social and enjoy our time together.  A Fourth Degree Knight is a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus.

 
Service Projects - Stop Hunger Now
We are committed to our fellow man, too.
Our major project of the year is the Million Meals Program.  Working in concert with the Chapel Hill Rotarians, we will provide funds and our hard work as a fmily to build thousands of meals on April 27th.  You don't have to be a Knight to help. There are already 495,000 meals made by others.  Everyone is welcome.  The work site is the American Legion Post 6 building, Legion Road, Chapel Hill.

Operation LAMB

 

The "Least of My Brethern.."  He asked us to help and help our Knights do.  Each year they are part of a state-wide effort to raise nearly a million dollars to benefit physically and mentally handicapped children and young adjults.  Our council's work supports local community needs.  This project is free of "administrative costs," because our councils do the work and fund the expenses.  Our only expense is for the candy given away to draw attention to Operation Lamb.  The collections goes to support local children, our schools with special needs projects, the ARC of Orange and Durham Counties, and to Special Olympics in North Carolina.
