Serving the Community and Promoting Patriotism and Civics
The Knights of the Fourth Degree was first exmplified on February 22, 1900, in New York City.
Our purpose is to build and encourage active Catholic citizenship and to promote Patriotism.  There are over 300,000 Knights of the Fourth Degree out of over 1.6 million Knights of Columbus world-wide.

Our North Carolina State Fourth Degree Choral is truly exceptional.  Under the guidance of Former State Deputy Sir Knight Joseph H. Dick, the choral is composed of Fourth Degree Knights from the many assemblies state-wide who volunteer their services and perform at the call of the Bishop, State Deputy and as available to local parishes for special commemorative masses.

Our Knights work with our Veterans in the Durham Regional VA  Hospital
Assembly Knights join with members of the C.V. Cummings Chapel Hill Post 9100, Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, to sponsor social activities with hospitalized veterans.

Divine Mercy Assembly knights are members of the Paul J. Trageser Council, 10910, at St. Thomas More Church, but we are the home assembly to knghts of St. Matthews and Maria Immaculata Councils in Durham.  Other members at large join us from Roxboro or are visiting The Southern Part of Heaven from many other states.
